Volvo has long played an outsized role in the evolution of the auto industry. It invented then made standard the three-point seat belt. It tested the first rear-facing child seat in the ’70s. And has one of the most rigorous and thorough safety engineering of all automakers. Always focused on safety, its goal is to eliminate fatalities and serious injuries in all its cars from 2020 and onward.
